Singapore is a city located on an island that also happens to be its own country. Cool right?
The city-state is home to over 5 million people and is one of the most multicultural societies in the world. It has 4 official languages: English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil.
Here’s a fun fact: the official mascot of Singapore is the merlion. What the heck is a merlion? Glad you asked. It is a mythical creature the body of a fish and the head of a lion. And what does that look like? Another excellent question! And here’s the answer courtesy of Wikipedia.
